Escape and rescue plans from DIN 4844-3 and BGV A8

Quelle: BSCON
Escape and rescue plans inform visitors and residents or employees of exits, first-aid kits, and fire extinguishing equipment. They include rules and advise to what occupants should do in the case of a fire or accident.
The creation of the escape and rescue plan is subject to DIN ISO 23601 and BGV A8. These plans must match the requirements for the layout and design in the DIN-Norm. The layouts and designs must be prepared in advance so that the client may choose between options, if more than one is available.
Escape and rescue plans must follow DIN ISO 23601 and § 20 of the BGV A8. These regulations must be reviewed and updated every two years. Responsibility for this falls on the operator of the structure.
According to venue regulation (SBauVO Nr. 1) we must calculate the maximum permissible number of visitors to an existing building given its existing components and facilities. Interior designers and operators of auditoriums are recommended to not modify seating arrangements, because it is not possible to re-account for these modifications in preparing escape routes once permits are issued.
