Fire at major events

Events, out- or indoors, are often at increased risk due to the many visitors and the local conditions.

One must distinguish between folk festivals, which fall under § 60b Industrial Code (outdoor events with more than 1,000 people), and stage or indoor events according SBauVO Part 1. In general, the approving authorities demand increased security and fire protection plans for such events.

The difference between a folk festival and an outdoor event-according to SBauVO gereglten-is the accessibility to the event (e.g. fencing). For events with 1000 visitors, in general, a fire protection plan is required. With more than 5,000 visitors a security policy is also required in the agreement.
